In writing Dance for Apollo, I imagined a scene in an ancient Greek play, where the priests and priestesses of Apollo were blessing him at sunrise for creating the new day. They danced and played their instruments as they basked in the radiance of the sun.

Dance for Apollo for Two Violins is based on my Dance for Apollo for two flutes that I wrote in 2017. It was dedicated to the Polish Violin Duo (Marta Gidaszewska & Robert Łaguniak) and was premiered on April 18, 2023. A recording will be posted below when available.
